The Jim Henson Foundation Puppetry Residency is an annual residency at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center for one deserving artist/company to work towards the completion of a new piece of contemporary puppet theater.  The residency is a collaboration with The O'Neill, which in addition to rehearsal space, room and board offers dramaturgical support.  In addition to the residency, a grant of $5,000 will be awarded to the artists by the Jim Henson Foundation to help cover expenses. Residencies may be between 2-4 weeks and can support up to 10-12 project participants.  Applications are open to all, however preference is given to those who have received Production or Workshop Grants from The Jim Henson Foundation.
