Émile Zola’s The Belly of Paris *

David Lane / New England Puppet Arts

November 14
3PM and 7:30PM

The Adams Theater - 27 Park St. Adams, MA

Inspired by Émile Zola’s novel set in mid-nineteenth-century Les Halles marketplace, The Belly of Paris is an audacious puppet show full of laughs, love affairs, art treatises, insurrection, and ironic deaths-by-meat-pie—exploring the insatiable thirst for more which modern capitalist society has all but baked into the mold.

Milo the Magnificent *

Alex and Olmsted

November 21 - 22

Segerstrom Center for the Arts - 600 Town Center Dr. Costa Mesa, CA

Alex and Olmsted's Jim Henson Foundation grant awarded Milo the Magnificent® is a highly engaging puppet show about an aspiring magician. This wordless comedy, inspired by turn of the century vaudeville entertainers, is as highly physical as it is charming. Using stunningly innovative puppetry, Milo presents a variety of magic tricks which don’t always go as planned.
