De Papel
Silencio Blanco
November 6 - 8
Lincoln Center - Samuel B. & David Rose Building 165 W 65th St New York, NY
De Papel (Of Paper) is an invitation to play—exploring the relationship between puppet and puppeteer and embracing the bond that emerges with an audience. Through interactive play, a paper puppet comes to life, gradually revealing a fragile and poetic connection to childhood. Chilean-based company Silencio Blanco has distinguished itself for its meticulous work with highly expressive puppets, constructed from everyday materials, including newspaper and chopsticks. The emotional eloquence of these heartfelt creations has fueled the company’s international popularity among children and their families.

La MaMa Puppet Festival 2026 *
November 11 - December 6
La MaMa - 66 East 4th St New York, NY
Puppetry has been an integral part of La MaMa’s programming since 1962. By setting objects in motion, puppet artists can penetrate linguistic and cultural barriers to tell stories that are accessible to audiences around the world. Bringing puppet artists together leads to innovation, experimentation, and increased awareness of puppetry as a sophisticated art form. In 2004, we introduced the La MaMa Puppet Series, a biannual festival showcasing new contemporary puppet theatre. Since then, La MaMa has produced twelve puppet festivals.

Where Did You Go Connie?
Amanda Glynn Card
November 19 - 22
La MaMa - 66 East 4th St New York, NY
An interdisciplinary puppetry performance about the life and disappearance of cult musician Connie Converse, whose introspective songs were recorded in 1950s New York, and who vanished without a trace in 1974.
Through a layered integration of shadow puppetry, toy theater, and live-feed video, the piece seeks to conjure Connie’s presence, reckon with her disappearance, and examine the meaning of artistic legacy, especially for those whose work was unseen in their lifetime.
Everything That Follows
LOCO7 Dance Puppet Theatre Company
November 19 - 23
La MaMa - 66 East 4th St New York, NY
Drawing inspiration from the natural world, the piece blurs the boundaries between human, animal, and environment. Bodies and puppets collide, evolve, and come to life in a dreamlike landscape where vulnerability becomes strength, connection becomes survival, and transformation is inevitable.
A visually striking and emotionally charged exploration of who we are, how we relate to one another, and what it takes to remain human in a world that is constantly changing.
